Tax Credit for Chess

The state of Arizona will allow you to deduct up to $400 ($200 for singles) directly off your tax liability if you donate to one of the Scholastic Chess Clubs.

This is a tax Credit not just a deduction - money donated comes directly off your tax liability to the state.

For example if you owed $400 to the state for the 2024 tax year but you made a $400 donation to one of the chess clubs, you would now owe $0 on your state taxes!! 

Plus you may also have a Federal tax benefit!! - ask your accountant.

Arizona State Tax Credits for schools are up to $400 for married filing jointly and $200 for single.

Note:  this tax credit can be used IN ADDITION TO other qualifying tax credits including donations made to private schools.
